About the Event

PARENTS: Are you worried about your child's online safety? Onling bullying? How social media impacts your child? Do you really know who your kids are talking to on social media?

STUDENTS: Do you have ideas about how social media can be improved? Are you concerned about online bullying, safety,  identity protection and image? Do you want to make a difference or change the world?

Speakers

Vanessa "Ness" Song. Chair of ISMA Youth Committee & YEmpower Founder. Ness is the founder of a mentoring advocacy organisation, YEmpower Australia! A social enterprise dedicated to the upskilling and mentoring of young people across Australia. Since starting YEmpower - the program has grown to include over forty members across Australia, including eleven mentors and mentees! Ness' mission is to connect young people with knowledge, opportunities and each other and to empower young Australians to create paths for themselves that are fulfilling, passion-driven and full of empathy and love.

Mr Andrew Greenfield. Leading child and educational psychologist and Principal Psychologist at Psych Support Assessment Services Pty Ltd (PSAS) in Sydney Australia. Andrew has worked with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, Learning Difficulties, Behavioural difficulties and other developmental disorders for the past 22 years. He consults to schools and other organisations across Sydney and regularly appears in the media on television and radio.

Paniora "Pnuks" Nukunuku. ISMA Youth Committee, Youth Worker & TikTok Influencer. Nuks is a first-generation migrant, content creator, youth worker and disability rights activist. In his spare time, you can find him filming his next TikTok takedown from UTS or his bedroom! He has previously engaged organisations and individuals on an organising and mobilising level. He is passionate about connecting with disadvantaged young people and helping them discover better outcomes for their lives.
